In September of 2022, the former tenant of this location had closed for business. In December 2022, this tenant shut off the heat to save costs, causing a catastrophic pipe burst that led to severe flooding and ultimately, a complete demolition of the space. Though insurance eventually covered $210,000 in damages, the property sat vacant for nearly two years amid extensive restoration efforts. The mitigation of the flooding was not handled properly, and it became apparent in the Fall of 2023, that a disastrous mold problem had occurred. Kiemle Hagood welcomes the addition of seven new shareholders, marking a significant milestone in our continued growth and long-term succession planning. Our new shareholders (Pictured Left to Right) include Leslie Yates, Chief Financial Officer; Erik Nelson, SIOR, Broker (Spokane); Pat Eberlin, Broker (Coeur d’Alene); Carl Guenzel, Broker (Spokane); Tim Kestell, Broker (Spokane); Richard Fox, Broker (Spokane); and Chad Carper, Broker (Spokane). These new shareholders join existing owners Gordon Hester, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Casey Brazil, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, further strengthening our firm’s leadership and ownership structure. Their investment and leadership will further strengthen our ability to enhance the level of support we provide our clients, and continue the advancement of our company at large. When Kiemle Hagood assumed management of 208 Trade Stations in September 2024, the 24-unit office/warehouse complex presented a clear opportunity for operational improvement and increased profitability. At the time of transition, the property had only eight tenants in place and was previously managed by another firm. While the leases in place required tenants to pay their own utilities, those provisions were not being enforced. Utility accounts had not been transferred into tenant names, resulting in the owner unknowingly covering ongoing operational expenses that should have been tenant responsibilities.
