Before

In September of 2022, the former tenant of this location had closed for business. In December 2022, this tenant shut off the heat to save costs, causing a catastrophic pipe burst that led to severe flooding and ultimately, a complete demolition of the space. Though insurance eventually covered $210,000 in damages, the property sat vacant for nearly two years amid extensive restoration efforts. The mitigation of the flooding was not handled properly, and it became apparent in the Fall of 2023, that a disastrous mold problem had occurred. Though insurance eventually covered $210,000 in damages, the property sat vacant for nearly two years amid extensive restoration efforts.

After

John Shasky took on the management of this property amidst the damage, and through steady leadership and strategic oversight, the site was fully revitalized. Following the rebuild. Kiemle Hagood was able to attract a new tenant to lease the space. Despite nearly two years of ongoing work to this space, there was finally hope on the horizon. On March 27, 2025, Spokane’s first Consumer Cellular storefront opened at the location, symbolizing the payoff of persistence and skilled property management. We are honored to have John on our team, and thank him for his perseverance and commitment to excellence!
